Juan Uriach Marsal was born in Barcelona in 1929. He was Honorary President of Uriach and founder of the Uriach Foundation. He was the driving force behind Uriach's first research and development department in 1965 and turned the company into one of Spain's leading pharmaceutical laboratories. He was also President of the Farmaindustria employers' association for two terms.
His humanistic personality with a marked cultural vocation has led him to be closely linked to the business, social and cultural fabric.
