It is the highest governing body of Corporación J. Uriach, consisting of Uriach family shareholders, members from various generations of the family, and an independent external member. This entity manages the political rights of Uriach family shareholders, considering the strategy and values of the family as a long-term shareholder of the company.

Juan Uriach Marsal

Juan Uriach Marsal

Honorary President of Uriach and the Uriach Foundation, dedicated to the dissemination of the history of health sciences, the benefits of nutraceuticals and natural health, as well as the historical-artistic heritage of the Uriach company.

Belonging to the fourth generation of the Uriach family, Juan Uriach Marsal was President of the company from 1986 to 2005, as well as the promoter of its first research and development department in 1965. The success of the products developed with proprietary molecules during that period led Uriach to build its own manufacturing plant in 1971, making the company one of the leading pharmaceutical laboratories in Spain.

Juan Uriach Marsal pursued a degree in Pharmacy and, in 1965, he was awarded the title of Doctor by the University of Barcelona. His interest in the development of the pharmaceutical industry led him to train at the IESE Business School. Due to his remarkable industrial activity, he was appointed vice president of the Agrupación de Laboratorios Farmacéuticos de Barcelona and was a founding member of FARMAINDUSTRIA, the employer association of pharmaceutical companies.

His humanistic personality with a strong cultural vocation has led him to be closely linked to the business, social, and cultural fabric. As an art collector, he is also a member of the Royal Catalan Academy of Fine Arts of Saint George. He has received the Creu de Sant Jordi and the Cross of the Civil Order of Health, among many other recognitions.

Enrique Uriach Torelló

President of the Family Owners Board of Uriach and member of the company's Board of Directors.

He belongs to the fifth generation of the Uriach family and worked in the group for nearly 25 years between 1991 and 2015. He was Executive President and CEO of the company from 2006 to 2012, at a stage in which the strategic reorientation towards Consumer Healthcare began. He has previously held various positions within the organisation (Finance, Commercial, Corporate Services, etc.).

As for his training, he studied at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, pursuing a degree in Business Studies. Subsequently, he completed a Master's Degree in Auditing and a General Management Programme (PDG) at IESE. Between 1988 and 1991, he worked as a finance consultant at PwC.

Since 2013, Enrique Uriach has also chaired Urilaria, the holding company that binds the Uriach Family Office.

Member of the Family Owners Board and the Board of Directors at Uriach. He presided over the Board of Directors from 2012 to 2021.

With a degree in Law from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in 1988 and an MBA from ESADE in 1994, Joaquín Uriach complemented his training with studies in International Law at the London Polytechnic School in 1987 and a PDG at IESE in 2004.

Joaquín Uriach Torelló joined the group in 1993, after gaining experience in firms such as Jufresa-Martell Abogados Asociados and Holco Trading Company (Mann Group). He served as Head of the Legal Department at Uriach from 1993 to 2003 before becoming Secretary General. In 2012, he assumed the presidency until 2021.

A great lover of music, since 2022 he has chaired the Orfeó Català Association and the Orfeó Català-Palau de la Música Catalana Foundation. He is also patron of the Pau Casals Foundation, benefactor of the Liceu and member of the Board of Directors of the Cercle del Liceu and of the Board of Trustees of the Fundació Victòria dels Àngels.

Juan Uriach Torelló

Patron of the Uriach Foundation, dedicated to the preservation and dissemination of knowledge and scientific research in the History of Health Sciences.

Juan Uriach Torelló, a fifth-generation member of the Uriach family, joined the company in 1986 as Director of the Purchasing Department and Head of Production, positions he would hold until 1997. Between 2001 and 2009, he was a member of the group's Board of Directors.

Juan Uriach Torelló graduated in Pharmacy from the University of Barcelona in 1983 and worked in its Department of Galenic Pharmacy until 1984. From then until 1986, he worked at Laboratorios Leti (Caracas, Venezuela), the pharmaceutical laboratory Squibb (New Jersey, USA) and Smith Kline & Beecham (Philadelphia, USA).

In 1991, he obtained a Doctorate in Pharmacy from the University of Barcelona for his work on the galenic development of Tranilast, a new anti-asthmatic active ingredient. In 1992, he completed his training by enrolling in the General Management Programme (PDG) at IESE.

Alongside his experience at Uriach, he was a partner and president of the biotechnology company Salupharma.

Marta Uriach

Marta Uriach Torelló

Member of the Family Owners Board. In the past, she also served as a member of the Board of Directors of Uriach.

Marta Uriach Torelló graduated in Interior Design from the University of IADE in 1983 and worked as an interior designer at Estudios Sañes from 1984 to 1988. That same year, she decided to launch her own interior design studio, which she ran until 1999. In 1992, she completed her training by pursuing an SEP (Senior Executive Programme) at ESADE/BABSON College.

Marta Uriach Torelló is highly committed to various associations that strive to have a positive impact on society, for this reason she serves as Patron of the Vila Casas Foundation and MACBA Foundation. In addition, she is a very active collaborator of the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.

Sofia Uriach

Sofía Uriach Antón

Member of the Family Owners' Council.

Sofía Uriach studied Business Administration at IQS and completed a master’s degree in marketing at ESIC Business School. While developing a role in sales and procurement within the fashion industry, she began her postgraduate studies in Marketing and Creative Management in Fashion Brands, which enabled her to transition into the design and textile purchasing department at Mango, where she stayed for 3 years. She continued her education in the fashion industry at the University of the Arts London and completed a Masters of Fashion Accessories at LCI Barcelona. This allowed her to became a handbag designer at Massimo Dutti until, in 2019, she founded Sofia Uriach Bags, a brand through which she designs and creates unique leather accessories.

After nearly 10 years in the fashion industry, she studied at a yoga school to obtain her instructor certification. She is also a teacher of Pilates, hypopressives, and continues to expand her knowledge of the human body. In 2023, she opened her own Studio Boutique in Barcelona, The Awakening House, where she offers wellness activities for body, mind, and soul.

Guillermo Quintero completed a combined undergraduate and master's program in business administration at ESADE Business School and later earned a master's degree in digital marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing in London.

Javier Uriach Torelló

Vice President and patron of the Uriach Foundation, dedicated to the preservation and dissemination of knowledge and scientific research in the History of Health Sciences, and member of the the Family Owners Council.

Javier Uriach joined the group in 1988. First, at the chemical plant (Urquima, Sant Fost de Campsentelles). He would later become Head of the Industrial Division of the family group. He was a member of the Board of Directors of Uriach from 2001 to 2012 and he presided over Urquima from 2001 to 2021. From 2006 to 2012, he was also Executive President of the Uriach Family Office.

After studying Veterinary Medicine in Zaragoza, Javier Uriach Torelló graduated in Business Studies in 1988. He then furthered his training in taxation and tax consulting at Esine, and later, in 1993, he completed the General Management Programme (PDG) at IESE.

Joaquim Agut Bonsfills

Member of the Family Owners Council.

After serving as CEO of the company, Joaquim Agut has been Executive President of the CIRSA Group since 2018.

In September 2000, he joined the Telefónica Group and served as President and CEO of Terra Lycos until December 2003. In January 2004, he was appointed President and CEO of Endemol BV, a leading Dutch company in audiovisual creation and production. At the Telefónica Group, he was also a member of the Corporate Executive Committee and was on the Board of Directors of various Group companies.

Joaquim Agut Bonsfills was previously President of the Corporate Executive Council of General Electric in Europe (GE), a company he joined in 1992. From 1982 to 1992, he led the development and growth of Agut SA, a family business that was later acquired by General Electric. In 1980, Agut joined Synthese, a subsidiary of the Dutch AKZO Group, as Director of Business Development, and later became CEO of the company.

Joaquim Agut Bonsfills has carried out important work in the business world, contributing greatly to the integration of the Spanish electricity industry in the EEC. He has also given numerous lectures and presentations on business management at prestigious institutions and universities in Europe, Asia and America.

Regarding his training, he graduated in Electrical Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) and has an MBA from IESE Business School (University of Navarra).

It is the collegiate body responsible for the administration and control of the company, with the main functions and responsibilities of supervising the management of business performance, representing shareholders, and making key decisions. It is composed of independent advisors, proprietary directors, and one Executive Director.

Luis Cantarell Rocamora

President of the Board of Directors of Uriach since 2021, the first not linked to the family. He has been a member of the board since 2013.

Luis Cantarell Rocamora is also President of the Scientific Committee of the Board of Christian Hansen AS (Denmark), a world-leading biosciences company that develops natural products and ingredients for the nutritional, pharmaceutical and agricultural food industries. In addition, he is an adviser to firms such as Werfen, a leader in in vitro diagnostics, and Senda Biosciences (Boston), which focuses on the creation of programmable drugs.

Luis Cantarell, who holds a degree in Economic Sciences from the University of Barcelona and is a graduate of the Executive Development programme from IMD Switzerland, was linked to Nestlé from 1976 to 2020. He started in the Systems Department, later becoming Global Marketing Manager of the coffee unit; CEO of Nestlé Portugal; Vice President of Nestec S.A.; Executive Vice President of Nestlé SA; President and CEO of Nestlé Health Science S.A.; CEO of Nestlé Nutrition and President of Froneri Ltd, a company also belonging to the Swiss multinational, among other positions.

Montse Muñoz Abellana began her professional career at Procter & Gamble, where she held different positions throughout Europe. For 17 years, until the end of 2022, she was a Senior Executive at Danone, where she served as Vice President of Operations, General Manager of Iberia Medical Nutrition and Vice President of Digital Transformation of the Global Value Chain.

Montse Muñoz Abellana has a degree in Chemical Engineering from the Institut Químic de Sarrià in Barcelona (Ramon Lull University) and has completed different Executive Development Programmes at IESE, INSEAD and The London Business School.

Carlos is founder and CEO of Volotea, the airline that connects small and medium-sized European cities with direct flights at very competitive prices.

Before launching Volotea, he was also the founder of Vueling Airlines (now one of the largest low-cost airlines in Europe, part of the IAG Group), where he served as CEO from 2002 to the end of 2007, leading the company to a successful IPO in 2006.

Carlos Muñoz began his professional career at the family-owned Antonio Muñoz y Cía (AMC) citrus and juice business, but in 1998 he moved to San Francisco to work as a consultant for McKinsey&Co until 2000.

He holds a degree in Business Administration from ICADE in Madrid (Universidad de Comillas, 1992) with a specialisation in Finance and an MBA (1998) from Harvard Business School.

Oriol Segarra

Managing Director and CEO of Uriach since 2012. As the person most responsible for defining and executing Uriach's strategy, he has spearheaded the company's transformation over the past decade.

He has developed his career in the healthcare and consumer goods sector, holding positions such as Finance & HR & IT Director, followed by Managing Director at Synthon Hispania, Chief Operations Officer, member of the Executive Committee and global operations lead at the Synthon headquarters in the Netherlands, as well as previously serving as Financial Controller and Director at Menarini and Lu Biscuits (Danone).

He carried out his training, which revolves around management, in several business schools such as ESADE, IESE, Harvard, Stanford, IMD and Singularity University.

His passion and expertise lie in leadership, not only implementing it in his day-to-day work but also researching and sharing about the topic as a speaker, lecturer and professor at a number of universities and business schools. He is also the author of several books, the latest being La evolución del liderazgo peregrino, published by Libros de Cabecera, in which he describes in part his experience at Uriach.

He joined ICG in 2008 and became the Head of Iberia in 2016. During his tenure at ICG, the firm has invested over €3bn in Iberia.

Jaime Chocrón has been involved in a number of transactions, including Uriach, Prosur, Konecta (including its merger with Comdata), Alvinesa, Domus VI, Suanfarma, Garnica, Esmalglass and others. Jaime has served on the Board of Directors of the abovementioned ICG investments in the region.

Before joining ICG, he worked at JP Morgan’s Investment Banking Division in London for four years, initially in the Structured Finance group, and later, in the M&A Consumer, Retail & Healthcare group.

Daniel Marín Moreno

Secretary of the Board of Directors of Uriach.

Daniel Marín is Partner – Director of Gómez-Acebo & Pombo’s Barcelona office. He specialises in mergers and acquisitions, advising strategic and financial buyers and sellers, restructuring transactions, acquisitions of companies in special situations and, in general, investments in and from Spain. He also specialises in corporate governance.

He has a Master’s Degree in Law from ESADE and an LL.M. from Columbia University in New York, where he received the Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar award for academic excellence. He has also completed the Leadership in Law Firms programme at Harvard Law School.

Daniel Marín is recognised in the prestigious Chambers & Partners legal directory as one of the leading practitioners in the areas of Corporate/Commercial Law (Barcelona), Corporate and M&A Law, General Business Law, etc.

He is a regular lecturer and has published several articles on mergers and acquisitions, foreign investment in Spain and corporate restructuring.

The Executive Committee (‘ExCo’) is the executive body responsible for setting the organisation's strategic direction and business plan, determining long-term objectives and defining how to achieve them. She is a marketing professional with more than 20 years of experience in the health and consumer goods market. An expert in strategic marketing, branding, product innovation and business development.

Before joining Uriach in 2016, she held different positions as a marketing and brand manager in companies such as Omega Pharma (Perrigo), Vanity Fair, Roca and Indo.

Alicia Espriu graduated in Business Administration and Management and furthered her studies at the Universitat Autònoma with a postgraduate degree in Advertising and Communication. She completed the Executive Master in Marketing and Sales at ESADE and furthered her training by completing the Management Development Programme (Programa de Desarrollo Directivo) at IESE.

Lluis Marc Carpentier

Corporate Development Officer of Uriach and member of the company's Executive Committee.

He has been a Corporate Development Executive in the Consumer Healthcare industry since 2013, when he joined Uriach. Expert in mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning, negotiation, business integration and the execution of post-acquisition business synergies. Before joining Uriach, Lluís-Marc Carpentier was Head of M&A at Lacer, a Consumer Healthcare company, Senior M&A Manager at the consulting firm PwC, investment analyst for hotel and tourism projects at THR International Tourism Consultants, and market operator of the Financial Futures and Options Exchange at MEFF.

He graduated in Business Administration and Management from the Universities of Barcelona (ES) and Wolverhampton (UK); he furthered his studies with an Executive MBA at the University of Chicago (US) and a Master of European Studies at the University of Leuven (BEL). He has also completed several strategy and leadership programmes for managers at the IMD Business School (CH), Singularity University (US) and CTI Leadership Institute (US).

Javier Salom

He is a manager with extensive experience in all aspects of financial management, management control and internal control in complex, multinational environments. An expert in change management, teamwork and leadership.

He joined Uriach in 2014 after 14 years at Menarini, where he served as director and head of management control. He had previously worked at Banca Catalana (now BBVA) for more than 4 years as an investment analyst, company manager, office manager and deputy to the financial director.

He trained in Business Administration at ESADE, completed a master's degree at HEC Paris, a General Management Programme (Programa de Dirección General) at IESE Business School and a business transformation programme at Singularity University.

David Cantallops Jimenez

Chief People Officer at Uriach since 2023 and member of the Executive Committee.

David Cantallops has more than 20 years of experience as a People Manager in the retail sector. He is an expert in people and organisations and how to make their goals align. He defines himself as passionate about people and advocates the creation of a corporate culture where people are genuinely placed at the centre of strategy.

Before joining Uriach in 2023, he worked at Inditex for 20 years, first as head of Logistics and Central Services and then as Global People Director. There, he developed the cultural transformation project and team engagement with the organisation at an international level.

He studied Art History at the University of Girona and later redirected his studies towards the area of People, studying Industrial Relations and Labour Sciences at the University of Barcelona, marketing for Human Resources and executive coaching and team coaching; he is also a lecturer for the master’s degree in HR Management at the UB.

Adrià Bullon Casals

Chief Operating Officer at Uriach since 2023 and member of the company's Executive Committee.

Adrià Bullón has gathered extensive experience in the field of Operations in different environments and industries. He began his professional career in the Operations Department of Mercedes Benz, during which time he developed multiple projects in the company's manufacturing plants over a period of four years. Following this experience, he spent fifteen years working as a consultant in companies such as Everis, in a variety of environments and industrial fields. Before joining Uriach, he served as Supply Chain Director, forming part of the Management Committee at Laboratorios Ordesa, positions he held for the six years prior to joining Uriach.

He holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and has supplemented his training with a Master in Supply Chain from ICIL and an Executive MBA from ESADE.

Zina Safer

Chief Legal & Sustainability Officer and member of the company's Executive Committee.

Zina Safer has extensive training and experience in the world of corporate law, and specializes in international law and the health industry.

Since starting off in 2015 at Nestlé Spain, she has held positions in the legal departments of companies such as Danone and Menarini. Her specialization in the health industry was consolidated by joining Uriach in 2019 as Legal & Compliance Director. Her professionalism and leadership have since then led her to become a member of the company's Executive Committee. During this period, she has managed to combine teaching and professional, and is currently a professor in EAE's Master's degree in Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility.

Zina Safer graduated in Law from the Université Paris V Descartes, later studied at the Universidade de São Paulo and completed a Master's degree in International Law at ESADE Business & Law School

Felipe López

Felipe López has extensive professional experience in the areas of marketing and sales. Throughout his career, Felipe has led the transformation of sales and marketing models in various companies, from re-focusing on buyers to the digitization of sales. Team development and sales strategy are his differential areas of management expertise.

He began his professional career in FMCG, working for companies such as Henkel, Grupo Bimbo and Sara Lee, eventually holding top sales and marketing positions. In 2012, he moved into the health industry and Novartis, and later joined family corporations such as Chiesi and Ferrer, reaching overall responsibility for the CHC business unit.

Felipe graduated in Business Administration and Management at ESADE, where he also completed an MBA.

Mariana Wencz

Italy & Romania Country Director and member of the Executive Committee of the company.

Mariana has over 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry and has held numerous executive positions throughout her professional career. She began her career in a private pharmacy in Buzau and later joined a large pharmaceutical distributor, where she worked for nine years.

From 2003 to 2014, Mariana Wencz joined two major pharmaceutical companies as National General Director, achieving a leadership position in both the retail and pharmaceutical markets. In 2014, she became Managing Partner of Medimow Promo Center, a Romanian company specialized in the healthcare sector. In 2022, Uriach became the majority shareholder of Medimow, taking its brands to a new level of success thanks to Mariana's leadership. In 2024, she assumes the role of Country Director for the Italy-Romania Region of Uriach.

Mariana Wencz holds a degree in Pharmacy and furthered her studies in Finance and Banking Management at the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest.

Sebastian Werner

Germany, Switzerland & Austria Country Director and member of the company's Executive Committee.

Sebastian Werner has over 15 years of international experience in strategic planning and operational implementation in the pharma, OTC, and cosmetics sectors.

Before joining Uriach in 2023, he served as President and CEO of the pharmaceutical and dermo-cosmetic group Pierre Fabre in the United States. In the same company, he was Business Unit Director for dermo-cosmetics. He also worked for over 7 years at Beiersdorf AG, a group focused on skincare with brands like Nivea, Liposan, and Eucerin, holding positions as Brand Manager and Director of the Pharmacy Unit in the UK. His professional beginnings were at L'Oréal Germany as a Brand Manager.

Sebastian Werner graduated from the International School of Management (ISM) in Germany and completed an MBA specializing in pharma at Goethe University in Frankfurt.

Emmanuel Lebrun

Country Director of France and Belgium and member of the company's Executive Committee.

Emmanuel Lebrun joined Uriach in 2024 after over 20 years' experience in the Consumer Healthcare industry. First at Boehringer Ingelheim, holding CHC marketing positions in Mexico and Spain, and then as Marketing Director in Benelux and France. Later, as global head of the group's wellness category. Following the 2017 agreement between Boehringer Ingelheim and Sanofi, Emmanuel went on to lead Sanofi's global Pain Care strategy, including leading local brands in France, Brazil, the US and Japan. In 2018 he was Marketing Head Iberia, and from 2021 to 2023 he was Managing Director of Consumer Health Care at Sanofi Spain.

Before entering the CHC sector, Emmanuel Lebrun had worked in multinationals such as Danone and Whirlpool.

He graduated from ICN Business School in France and followed his education at The International Institute for Management Development (IMD). He has recently trained as an executive coach at the European School of Coaching.

Nico Lavarino

Director of Naturitas and member of the company's Executive Committee.

From 2023, Nicola Lavarino is Director of Naturitas, an e-commerce platform specializing in natural wellness products. He previously held positions as People Director of Uriach Italy and Country Manager of Naturitas Italy.

Before that, he held senior positions in people management, communication, and IT in various firms in the Pharmaceutical and Consumer Health Care sectors, like Biogen (a multinational biotechnology company pioneering innovative therapies for complex neurological diseases); and Synthon (developer and manufacturer of affordable complex generic medicines) in which he gradually transitioned from Director of IT to Director of People.

Nicola Lavarino holds a degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Pavia, a PDD (Management Development Program) from IESE Business School, and an MBA from the Barcelona School of Management (BSM). He also completed a master's in Business and Personal coaching at BSM.
